From groundcover to fast-growing trees ideal for screening, the fragrant and elegant Juniper species range in color from vibrant green to a deep blue-green. Juniper prefer warmer, drier climates but are adaptable to colder climates as well. Can tolerate moderate drought-like conditions once established. Bountiful Farms offers Juniper varieties in natural forms for screening, or a variety of topiary forms ideal for specimen plants.

Thirty years ago, family patriarch Jay Nelson and his wife Julia began what would become Bountiful Farms Nursery, located in the heart of the beautiful Willamette Valley in Woodburn, Oregon. After successfully farming and harvesting hazelnuts for many years the Nelson family became fascinated with the idea of growing quality nursery stock. Bountiful Farms was born.

Over the years Jay’s sons, Brent and Todd joined him at Bountiful Farms. In 2009, Brent’s son Blake joined the ever-expanding family business, marking our third generation of family management.

Today Bountiful Farms has grown to over 700 acres, thanks in part to the hard work of our loyal employees, some of which have been with us for over 30 years. These include brothers Crecencio Froylan and Hippolito Froylan, experts in plant grafting and propagation and Saul Loeza, our talented plant sculpturist. Jim Pippert, our project manager, keeps things running smoothly on the farm.

In the changing face of agriculture, Bountiful Farms has embraced new techniques to conserve resources and provide superior plant material. One of the most exciting methods we are employing is the use of “pot-in-pot” cultivation, which significantly reduces the amount of water our nursery consumes and has the added benefit of allowing us to ship virtually year round. Currently we are growing over 150 acres of pot-in-pot.

In response to increasing labor shortages, we at Bountiful Farms are utilizing new and state of the art robotic technology to produce a consistent quality product. This cutting edge technology also relieves employees of some of the most arduous physical labor.

Bountiful Farms produces and ships unique and stunning plant material of the highest quality all over the United States and to many countries throughout the world.
