As a North Carolina Century Farm, we are committed to building upon our rich, farming heritage of knowing and cultivating the true value of a product that most people find useless: cow manure from dairy cows. We compost it to help you grow...one plant, one garden, one farm at a time. Since 1907, the Smith family has been farming 250 acres of land in Stony Point, North Carolina. In 1988, Alan Smith, the fourth generation of the Smith family farmers, began exploring the possibilities of composting the cow manure produced by his dairy cows. As the composting method was developed, he needed a name for the product. His great-grandfather, who originally started the family farm, was nick-named “Daddy Pete”. It is in his honor that we proudly present to you our professional, organic products that we call “Daddy Pete’s Plant Pleaser”.
